Description

Take respite in a biophilic and standards-based approach to artmaking: outdoor observational nature journaling. In this hands-on art making experience, you will learn how to guide students through a nature journaling session by combining skills of data collection, image production, and emotion identification. Participants will select objects of "awe" from the indoor/outdoor garden installation "Fallen Fruit: A Monument to Sharing" and record visual and verbal evidence in handmade journals. Various 2D media will be available to both "use what you've got" and/or explore a new media to engage interest and access a wide range of ability levels.
