Marielle Burt is a member of the K.12 Futures Thinking initiative at the Stanford d.school, where they design learning experiences that support learners of all ages in expanding their abilities to vision and build the futures they want to live in. Marielle's work at the d.school and beyond focuses on the intersection of imagination and justice in education. In their current master's program at the Stanford Graduate School of Education, Marielle is designing games and project-based learning experiences that support youth voice in civics education. This work is informed by their past experiences teaching middle school history and leading after-school programs in game design, escape room design, and theater. Marielle also runs workshops for educators and school leaders about how schools can better support LGBTQ+ students.
