Internationally acclaimed designer and educator Nik Hafermaas kicks off the 2025 NV STEAM Conference with a keynote presentation, "The Joy of Discovery". Nik takes the audience on a journey of discovery to find inspiration in the daily practice and discipline of teaching. He offers creative ideas for embracing improvisation, problem solving, and fostering joy in teaching and learning, as well as ideas for using the Nevada Museum of Art as a teaching and learning resource.
